Collection: Banana fiber sanitary pads & tissue papers

Banana fiber is a biodegradable natural fiber that is made from the stem of the banana tree. Incredible in durability, the fiber consists of thick-walled cell tissue. Banana fiber is similar to natural bamboo fiber, but its spin ability, fineness and tensile strength are said to be better.

In most cases, after harvest of the fruits in banana plantations, the stems are wasted and billion tons of stems and leaves are thrown away annually. Banana fibers are good absorbent, highly breathable, quickly dry with high tensile strength, biodegradable and have no negative effect on environment.

Turquoise 'the store' has come up with a line of products made out of banana fibers and banana pulp.
